Having worked closely and extensively with him over a major piece of public art sculpture, I should like warmly to commend SebastianFenwick. His skills are, in my experience, unsurpassed. His knowledge of materials and techniques is masterly. He has an unusual sensitivity to his sculpting subject, which he researches deeply; he has a sympathy for and understanding of his client which is admirable; he thinks hard and long about his work and his plans; perhaps above all he demonstrates consistent devotion to the task in hand, however unusual, however difficult, however untried before. Examples of his success are legion.
Examples too of his remarkable and, I believe, unique originality thrill the beholder and those who can touch and feel his works.SebastianFenwick has worked internationally,
sometimes in rarely visited new areas unused to foreign artists. Here, he has triumphed over many an obstacle, and to the entire satisfaction of his clients and of those with whom he has worked and whom he has trained. He has worked in the UK to demanding standards and challenges, all of which he relishes and exceeds or overcomes. Unusually, perhaps, in the artistic field, Sebastian Fenwick is always the gentleman. This combination of attributes may have to do with the fact that his particular artistry also requires a great deal of broader, scientific and practical knowledge and application. All these attributes show in his work which is excellent, sometimes sublime, and always fulfils his remit and demonstrates his outstanding skills.
